Spirit night is this Thursday, September 21 at the Jones Valley Taco Mama from 4-8. When ordering you will need to let them know that you are there supporting the HHS band. Let's all go have a great meal while earning money for our wonderful program. It's a win, win!!

The final order date for the London apparel will be October 20th. These can be paid through Venmo or a check in the band box.

We are currently taking orders for our Boston Butt fundraiser now through October 24. Chuckwagon will be providing our butts this year and pick up will be on November 4 in front of the Freshman Academy from 9-11. You can use the attached flier to begin taking orders. Please attach money to order form before putting in band box. If using Venmo, please include name of buyer, name of band student, and boston butt in the memo line.

Monday- Performance at HJHS vs. HCMS Game at Milton Frank - see schedule below.
Tuesday- Marching Band rehearsal 4-6 Guard Sectional 6-7. Wednesday- Off Thursday- Marching Band rehearsal 4-6. Friday- Game vs. Bob Jones at Joe Davis Stadium (middle school night) Saturday- Competition at Madison City Stadium - see schedule below. Monday Performance - HCMS/HJHS Game Schedule 5:45 pm -truck arrives at Milton Frank stadium in our normal location for games. Unload truck 6:00 pm - Meet and warm up. 6:30 pm - Game starts. We will perform together during the first half, perform our halftime show, and you can play with a middle school band during the second half. 8:30 pm - Game over. Load and go home! Food Students need to eat before/after the game. Bring your water bottle to the game! Uniform Full band uniform. Color Guard will wear red dresses. Bring your uniform in your garment bag with all accessories (shoes, black socks, shako, gauntlets). Hair should be pulled back out of your face (including guys with long hair) and no jewelry. Pierced ears can be covered with band aids. Gameday Information - Friday Schedule 8:30 am - arrive to school as normal. Make sure you have all of your uniform and accessories unless you plan to go home after school. Load Trucks - "A" Day Load with pep rally 3:40 pm - School dismisses. 5:00 pm - Meet at Joe Davis Stadium at Gate 1 (Northwest corner). Tailgate with all high school and middle school students with pizza, desserts, snacks, and drinks. Be prepared to go through weapons detectors. Unload trucks and prepare for warm up. Trailer will be at gate 1. Truck will be at the field level location. 5:45 pm - Warm ups - Section and band warm ups 6:40 pm - Enter Stadium. Modified pregame for Joe Davis Stadium. 7:00 pm - Game Starts ~9:30 pm - Game ends, load, and dismiss. Trucks will stay loaded for competition the next day. Food We will have a tailgate with pizza, desserts, snacks, and drinks starting at 5:00 pm with our middle school students. The food is being provided by our Band Parent Association! Bring your water bottle to the game! Uniform Full band uniform. Color Guard will wear STADIUM UNIFORM (with black leggings). Bring your uniform in your garment bag with all accessories (shoes, black socks, shako, gauntlets). Hair should be pulled back out of your face (including guys with long hair) and no jewelry. Middle School students If you know of a middle school band student who would like to participate, have them register here: https://forms.gle/RyFuXiE6A6wRQ1XM9 The deadline for middle school students to register for pizza and the tailgate is Wednesday Saturday - Band Competition Schedule 12:15 Arrive in Band room. Truck should already be loaded from previous night. Eat lunch before you arrive. Make sure you have your instrument/equipment and all parts of your uniform. 12:45 pm - Announcements in Band Room and load buses. 1:00 pm Depart for Madison City Stadium 1:30 pm Arrive and check in. Unload 2:30 pm Warm up 3:15 pm Performance in Prelims 3:45 pm Clinic / Critique 4:20 pm - Prelim Awards 4:45 - 6:00 pm Break 6:15 pm - Finals Start. Depending on when we perform we will either eat first then perform or perform and then eat. We will eat at concessions. 6:15-8:00 pm Finals performances 8:30 pm - Finals Awards 9:00 pm - Load 10:00 pm - Back at School Uniform Full Uniform. guard is in red dresses. Guard - please make sure all make up and hair is complete before departing at 1:00 pm. Winds and Percussion - Make sure you have your marching shoes, black socks, gauntlets, shakos, and gloves. Food/Drink Please eat lunch before you arrive. Concessions will be available to all spectators and bands at the competition. Plan to bring money and eat dinner at the concession stand. Concession stands take cash and card. You can view the menu here. In addition, Kona Ice and Traveling Tom's Coffee food trucks will be there. Bring your water bottle with you! Spectators The competition is open to the public and we encourage you to cheer us on and the other bands as well. Chaperones get in free and are strictly regulated to 1 chaperone for every 10 students. This includes adults such as truck drivers, photographers, medical needs, adult help moving equipment, etc. Tickets: Ticket price:$15 ($5 for ages 12 and under). Wristbands allow re-entry at anytime. Tickets will be available via the S2Pass app. Download the app, search “Bob Jones High School,” and scroll to find “Rocket City Marching Invitational. If not purchased in advance, cash and a card will be accepted at the door. Reminder that this is a fundraiser and an important part of the budget for the Bob Jones Band program. Schedule: CLICK HERE We are participating in a prelims/finals format so we perform twice. This is the first year of this competition and we are really excited that it's happening locally. There aren't a huge amount of groups this first year, so all groups will both perform at prelims and finals. We want to support this competition because Bob Jones will run a great event and having a local competition has many benefits!! Preliminary Map: CLICK HERE Fall Break Game - SIGN UP!! The Fall break game on Thursday, October 5th is an optional game. We ask if you are in town and available to please play! For our planning purposes, please sign up if you plan to attend the game here: https://forms.gle/Q3SeFTP2FvSH4hQj6 The game on Friday, September 29th is not during Fall break and a required game even though this date is an e-learning day. Please do not leave for Fall Break vacations until Saturday morning!
