Schedule for the Week 

Weekly Schedule
B day marching classes should be prepared to go outside during class.
Monday - STUDENT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED TO UNLOAD TRUCKS - 7:45 am.  Leadership meeting 8:00 am.   Marching Percussion Sectional 4-5:30
Tuesday:  Competition Band Rehearsal 4:00-5:45.  Guard Sectional 6-7.  Booster Board Meeting 6:00 pm

Wednesday:  Competition Band and Football Band Rehearsal 4-5.  We need to run homecoming halftime with the homecoming court and pregame and then we will be done!

Thursday:  Homecoming Parade - 6:00 pm.  See schedule below.  

Friday:  Game vs. James Clemens (Alabama A&M)

​Next Football Band After school rehearsal:  Thursday, October 14th 4-4:45

​Parade Information - Thursday, September 16
5:15 pm Arrive/Dress in uniform/Get equipment.  I will be here after school if anyone needs to stay.
5:35 pm - Move to parade start location and warm up
6:00 pm - Parade steps off
6:45 pm (or sooner) - Done!

What to wear:
Full Band uniform (like last Friday night)
Front ensemble should wear their band uniform to this (not their halftime show attire)

Parade Route 
See map.   The parade starts at HHS by the baseball fields and ends at the back gate by Marcheutz Dr.  The parade makes its way across Bob Wallace to the neighborhood across the street, going around Mayfair park and back to the school. 

Other information
We are typically at the very beginning of the parade.

Game Day Information

Schedule
3:40 pm - School ends
5:15 pm - Trucks arrive at Alabama A&M.
5:30 pm  - Meet at Alabama A&M!! .  Unload 
5:45 pm - Section warm up
6:05 pm - Full Band Warm up
6:30 pm - Line up to MARCH HALFTIME AND PREGAME!!!  We will do our halftime show at pregame this week because the homecoming court will be presented at halftime.
7:00 pm  Game Starts
               Halftime performance (we perform 2nd).  Stand and play for homecoming court.
~9:30 pm - Game ends

Location:  Alabama A&M.  We will meet in the Southeast corner of the stadium.  Look for band trucks.  Please park in the parking lot across the small road from the band trucks if possible.

Uniform
FULL MARCHING UNIFORM!  Make sure you have your shako (hat), longer black socks, marching shoes, and gloves.  Front ensemble is wearing their uniform for pregame and full uniform for halftime.

Dinner Information

Dinner is on your own.
 
Transportation

No transportation provided.  Students are responsible for getting to all home games at Milton Frank or Alabama A&M.

​Trader Joe's Opening
Trader Joe's has asked that we provide a small group of students for their grand opening tentatively on Thursday, September 30th (same day as Albertville Game).  We are planning on having leadership team and seniors perform.  It is scheduled to be in the morning, so you should plan to miss class.  More details coming....

GAME CHANGE!!!!

The game at Albertville that is now scheduled for Friday, October 1st has BEEN MOVED BACK to Thursday, October 2nd.  The game is still in Albertville.  I think this will be better for most people anyway since you can get an earlier start to your fall break after school finishes on Friday.  This change was due to a lack of referees available on Friday in the Albertville area.  Don't shoot the messenger!

Fall Break Game

We have a game during Fall Break on Friday, October 8th against Austin at Austin High School.  As with years past, we will be taking a volunteer pep band to this game and will not be performing halftime.  We ask that if you are in town to please attend the game!

We will be asking students about their commitment in the next couple of weeks so we can secure the correct number of school buses and plan for the game.  

Upcoming Schedule

September 24th - no game/bye week.  Possible rehearsal for competition

September 25th - Marching Competition at Gadsden (plan for a full day event).
Wednesday, September 29th - Performance at the HCMS vs. HJHS Game at Milton Frank
       Trucks arrive at 5:30, Students meet at 6:00 pm.  Game at 6:30.  We are performing halftime  show!
Thursday, September 30th - Game vs. Albertville at Albertville HS.
