Marching Uniforms

There are upwards of 30 marching uniforms that still have not been turned in. Please get these jackets back in as soon as possible so the final inventory can be done. 

Attention parents of Seniors

Class of 2024 parents, you should have received an email from [email protected] several weeks ago with the topic: Band Banquet Video.  If you did not receive it, we may have the wrong contact information for you and need you to send an email to [email protected] with your Senior's full name. Please respond to the email with your photos and information as soon as possible so Marvin can be working on the video.

Spring Concert Pictures

Concert pictures will be taken on April 23rd beginning at 5:30 before the Spring Concert.

Band Banquet

**Mark your calendars** The Band Banquet will be held at Stovehouse on May 17th! The theme this year is 'Musicians through the Ages'. More details will follow as we get closer to the event.

Band Fees

To help in planning, here are the band fees and due dates for the 2024-25 school year:
Marching band fees - $750
Color guard fees - $750
Concert only fees - $375
Siblings are at 50% of applicable fee
 
Due dates:

• To receive a 5% discount, pay in full by Rookie Camp (May 28-31).  Marching band discounted amount is $712.50; Concert band discounted amount is $356.25
• If you want to break it up into three payments:

o   1st payment due by Rookie camp (May 28-31)
o   2nd payment due by Band Camp Week #1 (July 15-19)
o   3rd payment due by the Fall Concert (usually early November)

Monday-Symphonic Band 4:00 - 5:30 pm. 
Tuesday-Off (see new wind ensemble schedule below)
Wednesday-Off
Thursday-Off.  
Friday-Off.  

Wind Ensemble
Wind Ensemble will plan to rehearse next after school April 16.
On April 1st (during class time), we are planning to go play at the Blossomwood Elementary pep rally by carpooling.  

Band Contracts - Due 3/29
Band Contracts were handed out before spring break and are due back by the last school day of March for everyone except seniors.  You can find the electronic copy of our band contract here.  Contracts can be emailed back to a director or placed in the box labeled "Band Contracts" in the band room.  

2024-25 Course Registration 
Band Contracts will be distributed after MPA will be due by the last day of March.   It will include the same options as before (no changes).  Marching Band option or Concert only option.

Rehearsal Schedule
Tuesdays from 4-6 pm and Fridays before competitions from 4-5 pm.

 Competition Schedule (open to the public with purchase of a ticket)
April 6 - SCGC Championships (Bowling Green, Kentucky)-CARPOOL (Change!!!  The feedback I have received from students and parents is that many people want to drive up and stay the night, so we will not use a school bus)!

Summer Schedule 2024
April 29-May 3-Color Guard Auditions 4-6 pm.
Week of May 6 - Auditions in Class for 24-25 school year ( 9th grade after school)
May 10-11-Marching Percussion Auditions - Fri - 4-8, Saturday 8:30-12:30 (required for all percussion in marching band).
May 28-31 (Tuesday-Friday) Rookie Camp 8 -12 (required for new members and leadership team), Color Guard Camp.
June 30-July 2-Leadership Camp.  Sunday, June 30th will be afternoon/evening.  July 1st and 2nd - all day. (leadership team only)
July 10-12-Make up Rookie Camp 8-12.  Marching Percussion Camp 12-4. (required for percussion in marching band)
July 15 - 19-Band Camp Week #1.  All Day.  (required for all marching band students)
July 22-26-Band Camp Week #2.  All day (required for all marching band students).  Band Camp on July 26th will dismiss at noon.
Juily 29-31 Additional rehearsals 6-9 pm.
July 26-optional trip to DCI in Murfreesboro for additional cost.
